Au (Zurich, Switzerland), 3 November 2017. The Swiss Engineering company, LeeoTech AG, developed an effective, easy to use and inexpensive rat-stopper for all types of boats and yachts. Thanks to this new innovation costly damages can be avoided with minimal effort. »no rats on board« will be shown at “ boot Düsseldorf 2018”.
Rats on board are a nightmare for all sailors and boatmen. They can cause immense and costly damage in a very short period of time. Each boat owner will be interested to keep these rodents away from board. Until today there was no satisfactory solution, in particular for double mooring lines.
»no rats on board« fills this market gap: The rat-stopper fits on single and double mooring lines due to two line feedthroughs. The lines do not need to be inserted as the rat-stopper is divisible. Just put both parts around the line to interlock them.
Even if the rat-stopper is fixed on double mooring lines, one line is able to move freely to allow movements of the moored boat. The actual barrier runs on a ball bearing around the centred carrier circle and prevents a climbing over by its rotating.
